Unscripted, creative, spontaneous and real is the best way to describe the shows, DJs and hosts of the Playvybz Family.
As well as our core function as a radio station, we also offer training (mainly to young people) in DJ-ing and Radio Production through the Playvybz Academy. An Academy mentee Alexander Rose of the STOP anti-gun and knife crime campaign was recently featured in the Sunday Times magazine (see attachment). The Playvybz Academy has also delivered a course to Year 9 students from Winchmore school in Enfield, as well as supported events and provided training for south London-based organisations Young People Matter and GUp Drama School (lead by actress and Radio One award recipient Lorna Gayle AKA Lorna G).

Playvybz has supported the following events
- Alexander Rose of the STOP anti-gun and knife crime campaign at London's Ministry of Sound, where we hosted a room in aid of the Education is the Key event, filmed by Channel 4
- In Celebration of My Sisters 13th annual variety show, playing to an audience of 2000 at London's Hackney Empire in March 2009
- Peace Tree at the Damilola Taylor Centre, Peckham alongside Richard Blackwood, Harvey and Asher D
- Soho Film Festival 80s party, Curzon London
- Jerk Cookout festival 2008 and 2009 (10,000 and 24,000 attendees respectively) at the Horniman Museum and Gardens, Dulwich
- The Wandsworth Youth Enterprise Centre Business Awards
- Urban Arena youth sports and arts careers day at the Linford Christie Centre
